Freesia smells light, clean, sweet and slightly peppery, a spring floral with fruity hints and a soapy, transparent freshness reminiscent of a fresh bouquet. The flower does not yield a usable natural extract, so the note is recreated with synthetic molecules.
Perfumers build it from a balanced blend of floral materials such as linalool, producing an airy and luminous effect. Freesia mostly sits in the heart, sometimes in the opening.
