Perfumes with Watery Notes

Perfumes with Watery Notes

Watery notes describe a wet, transparent impression of water, rain, damp stones and a cool breeze; they are an effect built from synthetic molecules rather than a single raw material.

The impression is usually created with Calone, helional, dihydromyrcenol and certain aldehydes. It feels clean and slightly ozonic, sometimes melon- or cucumber-like, and softer than marine notes since it lacks their salty edge. Watery notes are used in the heart and top of a fragrance. They pair with citrus, lotus, water lily, green tea, mint, white musks and light woods.

Watery Notes appears in 930 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
