Perfumes with Water Lily
Water lily smells light, watery, green and clean with a gentle sweetness, giving a fragrance a cool, calm and transparent floral freshness.
Although a small amount of absolute can be produced from Nymphaea flowers, the note in most perfumes is a fantasy accord built from synthetic aquatic and floral molecules. It is very close to lotus, with damp leaves, a hint of melon and a soft powdery floralcy. Water lily is used almost entirely in the heart. It pairs with lotus, peony, freesia, marine notes, green tea, citrus and white musks.
