Perfumes with Rosemary
Rosemary smells fresh, herbal, camphorous and slightly woody, an aromatic note that brings the sharp, clean character of crushed rosemary sprigs and Mediterranean gardens into a fragrance. It comes from the leaves and flowering tops of Rosmarinus officinalis, produced in Morocco, Spain and Tunisia.
The oil is obtained by steam distillation, and camphor and the eucalyptus-like cineole are prominent in its profile. Rosemary sits in both the top and the heart. It pairs well with lavender, sage, bergamot, lemon, cedar, vetiver and sea notes, and it is a traditional ingredient of colognes.
Rosemary appears in 3,015 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
