Pear smells juicy, sweet, slightly green and fresh, recalling the clear juice and light tartness of a freshly sliced ripe pear with a crisp, almost crystalline brightness. There is no usable natural pear extract, so the note is built from synthetic molecules.
Fruity esters form its core, giving pear both a sweet and a green character. It appears almost always among the top notes, opening the fragrance before handing over to the heart.
