Perfumes with Orange Blossom
Orange blossom smells sweet, honeyed and slightly citrusy, a bright and radiant white floral with a soft, gently indolic warmth lying just underneath. It comes from the flowers of the bitter orange tree, Citrus aurantium, mainly from Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt.
Solvent extraction gives orange blossom absolute, which is richer and more honeyed, while steam distillation of the same flowers yields the fresher neroli oil. Orange blossom mostly sits in the heart of a fragrance, though it can also appear in the opening. It pairs well with jasmine, tuberose, neroli, bergamot, musk, vanilla and honey.
Orange Blossom appears in 10,915 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
