Perfumes with Neroli
Neroli smells fresh, slightly bitter, green and floral, a cleaner, more citrusy and gently soapy interpretation of orange blossom with a luminous character. It comes from the flowers of the bitter orange tree, Citrus aurantium, mainly from Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt.
Neroli oil is obtained by steam distillation of the blossoms, while solvent extraction of the same flowers yields the more honeyed orange blossom absolute. Neroli sits in both the top and the heart. It pairs well with bergamot, lemon, petitgrain, lavender, jasmine, musk and orange blossom, and it is a classic pillar of eau de cologne.
Neroli appears in 6,094 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
