Perfumes with Mimosa
Mimosa smells powdery, honeyed and softly green, with an almond-like warmth: the scent of the fluffy yellow blossoms of Acacia dealbata on a sunny day.
The flowers and twigs are solvent-extracted, mainly around Grasse in southern France and in India, to produce a concrete and an absolute. The scent carries a violet- and orris-like powderiness, a beeswax richness and a slightly cucumber-green freshness. Mimosa is overwhelmingly a heart note. It blends naturally with orris, violet, heliotrope, honey, musks and almond, and suits soft, nostalgic floral compositions.
Mimosa appears in 1,893 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
