Perfumes with milk
Milk smells soft, creamy and gently sweet, with a lactonic warmth close to skin; in perfume it creates a comforting, clean and slightly gourmand effect.
There is no natural milk extract, so the note is an accord built from lactones such as delta-decalactone, milky musks and vanillic materials. Depending on the blend it can read as cream, rice pudding or milky tea, and it rounds off sharp edges. Milk sits mainly in the heart of a fragrance and also appears in the top and base. It pairs with vanilla, sandalwood, rice, honey, tonka, fig and white flowers.
