Perfumes with Melon
Melon smells juicy, sweet and cool, with a watery green freshness close to cucumber; in perfume it gives a summery, aquatic impression.
There is no natural melon oil, so the note is created from synthetics such as melonal, helional and various esters. Melonal in particular gave many fresh and aquatic fragrances of the 1990s their typical watery coolness. Melon mostly appears in the opening and often lingers into the heart. It pairs naturally with marine notes, lotus, water lily, peony, musks and citrus.
