Perfumes with Lemon

Lemon smells sour, bright, clean and zesty, carrying the sharp, juicy and slightly green tang of freshly grated lemon peel or a just-cut lemon. It comes from the rind of Citrus limon, with Sicily, Spain and Argentina among the main producers.

The oil is extracted by cold-pressing the peel. It evaporates very fast, so lemon appears almost exclusively as a top note, felt in the first minutes after spraying. It is a classic ingredient of colognes and summer fragrances. Lemon pairs well with bergamot, mint, basil, neroli, ginger, cedar and musk, and it lightens sweeter compositions.

Lemon appears in 13,765 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a top note.
