Perfumes with Honeysuckle
Honeysuckle smells sweet, honeyed and nectar-rich with a green edge, recalling warm summer evenings and giving a fragrance a sunny, cheerful floral character.
The flowers of Lonicera do not yield a commercially usable extract, so the note is rebuilt from materials such as linalool, methyl anthranilate, indole and other synthetic floral molecules. It is close to jasmine and orange blossom but lighter, fruitier and more honeyed. Honeysuckle is used almost entirely in the heart. It pairs with jasmine, tuberose, peach, nectarine, honey, citrus and musks.
Honeysuckle appears in 1,390 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
