Perfumes with Davana

Davana smells fruity, sweet and slightly boozy with an herbal undertone, recalling apricot, dried fruit and brandy, giving a fragrance a warm, mellow character.

Flowering tops of Artemisia pallens, grown in India, are steam-distilled into davana oil, a dark and quite intense material. Unlike the sharp, bitter side of other Artemisia species, it has a honeyed, winey and slightly green fruitiness. Davana is used in the top and heart of a fragrance. It pairs with rose, apricot, osmanthus, cognac, tobacco, vanilla and musks.

Davana appears in 896 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
