Cyclamen smells clean, cool and watery with a green, airy floral character, giving fragrances a fresh, transparent lift that feels close to spring air.
The flower does not yield a usable natural extract, so the note is reconstructed with synthetics such as cyclamen aldehyde, named after the plant, and helional. The result is slightly citrusy, dewy and sometimes melon-like. Cyclamen is used almost entirely in the heart. It pairs with freesia, lily of the valley, peony, lotus, marine notes and white musks, and suits bright, clean floral compositions.
