Perfumes with Chocolate
Chocolate smells sweet, creamy and lightly roasted with a cocoa backbone, giving a fragrance a warm, indulgent and comforting gourmand effect.
The note is built from cacao absolute or extract combined with synthetics such as vanillin, ethyl maltol, pyrazines and lactones. It is sweeter and rounder than pure cacao and can be interpreted as dark, milk or praline-like chocolate. Chocolate sits mainly in the heart of a fragrance and often in the base. It pairs with patchouli, vanilla, tonka, coffee, hazelnut, orange, rose and musks.
