Cherries yield no natural perfume oil, so the note is assembled from almond-toned molecules such as benzaldehyde and various fruity esters. Benzaldehyde provides the stone-like, marzipan facet that makes cherry recognisable. Cherry sits mostly in the top of a fragrance and frequently in the heart.
