Perfumes with Turkish Rose

Turkish rose smells rich, honeyed and slightly spicy with a wine-like depth; it comes from Rosa damascena grown around Isparta and is often perceived as a touch warmer and fruitier than Bulgarian rose.

Petals picked early in the morning are steam-distilled into rose oil or solvent-extracted into a deeper, longer-lasting absolute. The scent moves from a fresh, dewy opening to a warm heart with honey and clove facets. It is almost always a heart note. It pairs with oud, saffron, patchouli, musk, frankincense and red berries.

Turkish Rose appears in 1,729 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
