Perfumes with Tuberose
Tuberose smells rich, creamy, sweet and heady, a powerful white floral with buttery, coconut-like, rubbery and faintly mushroomy facets that give it a bold presence. It comes from the flowers of Polianthes tuberosa, grown mainly in India.
The blossoms are processed by solvent extraction into an absolute that is precious and costly. Tuberose sits almost always in the heart of a fragrance, often as its main theme. It pairs well with jasmine, orange blossom, gardenia, ylang-ylang, coconut, vanilla, musk and sandalwood, and it defines many opulent white floral compositions.
