Perfumes with Spices
Spices describe the warm, sharp and slightly sweet scents of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cardamom and pepper combined, bringing liveliness and warmth to a fragrance. The term appears in note lists when no specific spice is named.
The effect is built from natural spice oils, often supported by molecules such as eugenol and cinnamaldehyde, whether isolated from nature or made synthetically. Depending on the blend it can feel cool and bright or warm and dense. Spices mostly sit in the heart of a fragrance. They pair well with orange, rose, amber, vanilla, tobacco, oud and woody notes.
