Perfumes with Ozonic notes

Ozonic notes smell cool, airy, slightly metallic and watery, recalling the air after a storm, a fresh breeze or clean laundry; they are an effect built from synthetic molecules, not a single material.

The effect is usually created with Calone, helional, floralozone and various aldehydes. Calone brings a watermelon- and seashell-like coolness, while helional adds a green, airy brightness. Ozonic notes were prominent in fresh fragrances of the 1990s. They are used in the top and heart of a fragrance. They pair with marine notes, citrus, lotus, mint, lavender and white musks.

Ozonic notes appears in 1,020 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
