Perfumes with Lilac
Lilac smells sweet, powdery and softly green with an almond-like nuance, giving a fragrance a nostalgic, gentle springtime floral character.
Lilac yields no commercially usable extract, so the note is reconstructed with materials such as terpineol, heliotropin, indole and phenylethyl alcohol. The result balances an airy, clean floralcy with a creamy, powdery sweetness. Lilac is used almost entirely as a heart note. It pairs with lily of the valley, hyacinth, rose, heliotrope, violet, iris and white musks.
Lilac appears in 1,283 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue and is used mostly as a heart note.
