Hyacinth absolute is produced only in tiny amounts, so the note is usually rebuilt from phenylacetaldehyde, galbanum and other synthetic floral materials. It combines the greenness of stems and wet soil with a honeyed, slightly spicy floralcy. Hyacinth sits mainly in the heart of a fragrance and frequently in the opening. It pairs with galbanum, narcissus, lily of the valley, violet, iris, rose and musks.
