Grass yields no usable extract, so the note is built from cis-3-hexenol, known as leaf alcohol, and related green molecules. Together they evoke cut-grass sap, crushed leaves and damp soil. Grass sits mainly in the heart of a fragrance and often in the opening. It pairs with citrus, green tea, hyacinth, violet leaf, vetiver, mint and white musks.
