Fragrances with coffee notes
Coffee fragrances combine the bitter, warm and slightly sweet smell of freshly ground or roasted coffee with vanilla, caramel, spice or woods; this list shows the most popular perfumes that feature a coffee note. On its own, coffee can feel harsh and dry in a perfume, so it is usually softened with a sweet base. Vanilla and tonka give a creamy, latte-like feel, cacao and praline make it a sweet gourmand, and cardamom and tobacco give it a more mature, smoky character.
Coffee scents are at their best in cool weather, on evening dates and through the winter months. For daytime wear, look for versions where the coffee is lightened with citrus or florals. They usually last well, so starting with two sprays is plenty. Every fragrance here lists coffee among its notes and the list is sorted by popularity.
