Tropical perfumes
The tropical accord captures the juicy, sweet and exotic smell of warm-climate fruits such as pineapple, mango, papaya, passion fruit and coconut. It brings a sense of holidays and sunshine to a fragrance.
Since these fruits do not give usable essential oils, the effect is built mostly from esters, lactones, sulfurous fruit molecules and coconut notes such as gamma-nonalactone, often joined by flowers like frangipani, tiare and ylang-ylang. Tropical notes usually appear in the top and heart. They pair often with fruity notes, white florals, lactonic and vanilla accords, and salty notes. Tropical fragrances suit summer, holidays and hot days.
The Tropical accord appears in 6,802 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue. Below are the most popular scents where it leads.
