Lavender perfumes
The lavender accord is built on the clean, floral-herbal and slightly camphorous scent of lavender flowers, and it appears widely in both masculine and feminine fragrances. It often brings to mind fresh linen and Mediterranean fields.
Fine lavender oil, the sharper and more camphorous lavandin, and lavender absolute are the main materials, with much of the character coming from linalool and linalyl acetate. Lavender shows in the top and heart. It is the cornerstone of the classic fougère and pairs often with coumarin, oakmoss, aromatic herbs, vanilla and amber. Light lavender scents suit spring, summer and daytime, while vanilla- or amber-rich versions are well suited to winter evenings.
The Lavender accord appears in 8,911 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue. Below are the most popular scents where it leads.
