The fruity accord captures the juicy, sweet and bright smell of fruits such as peach, apple, pear, raspberry, blackcurrant and pineapple. It gives a fragrance a cheerful, youthful and mouthwatering feel.
Because most fruits do not yield a usable essential oil, these effects are built largely with esters, lactones such as gamma-undecalactone for peach, and molecules like raspberry ketone; blackcurrant bud is a rare natural exception.
