Cherry perfumes
The cherry accord is a fruity scent family that captures the sweet, juicy and slightly almond-like smell of ripe cherries, sometimes leaning toward liqueur, jam or candy. It gives a fragrance a vivid, playful and mouthwatering feel.
Because cherries do not yield a usable essential oil, the effect is built with benzaldehyde for the almond side, along with esters, raspberry ketone and tolyl aldehyde. Cherry usually appears in the top and heart. It pairs often with almond, vanilla, rose, liqueur notes, tonka and woods. Fresh, juicy versions suit spring days, while dark, boozy cherry scents are better for autumn and winter evenings.
The Cherry accord appears in 1,736 perfumes in the Fisfis catalogue. Below are the most popular scents where it leads.
